Bowman Stor, manufacturers of the groundbreaking SEPURA™ oil/water filtration range, have proved themselves to be fully behind the greener industry principles that they advocate by making the switch to solar energy.
The bold move means that the entire SEPURA™ factory is now driven by renewable energy after Bowman invested in the installation of 188 solar panels on the roof of its extensive Walsall premises.
The company has even installed an electric vehicle charging point to further reduce the carbon footprint of the business.
This latest development reinforces Bowman Stor’s continuing environmental drive centred on creating innovative solutions to minimise the output of contaminants produced though the use of compressed air technology. The SEPURA™ range of filter units and service kits employ the unique, patented SILEXA™ media, developed in Bowman’s own laboratories and produced from recycled glass bottles, yielding oil/water output levels of lower than 10ppm.
Managing Director Richard Potts is fully committed to maintaining Bowman’s corporate and social responsibility in striving for a greener future. ‘It’s not just what you make, it’s how you make it,’ he says. ‘Bowman Stor not only use renewable, sustainable raw materials, we are now using renewable energy to deliver products that help create a better, cleaner environment’.
The whole of the Bowman Stor manufacturing unit is now powered by solar energy.
The firm’s EV charging point is supplied by the firm’s solar energy system.
